ABOUT OUR LIBRARY

​

              The Library is located in an easily accessible area in A Block 1st floor. The library remains open from 10 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm on all working days. Library is subscribing National Journals in various branches of engineering. In addition to this college library receives 15 periodical publications. Identity Card is compulsory for using the Library facilities. Students and Staff are required to enter their names and reference details in the register.

            Our Library comprises of various quantities of books keeping  up with the needs of the students of different branches of the Institute. Students use the Library regularly for completing their assignments, seminars and preparing for the examination.

            Our Library has till now received up to around 1200 (One Thousand Two Hundred) books for different branches. Apart from Engineering books, our Library has many books related to Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English etc.

​

            The Library also comprises books such as Reference books, Engineering Handbooks, Encyclopedias, Novels, Journals, Servicing Manuals, CD ROMs etc.

Membership

         Students joining College are directly enrolled as member of library during the study period. The students are issued  2 tickets during their second year of study for the purpose of borrowing the books from the library. They can retain the books till the end of the semester. The teaching and non-teaching staff can avail any number of books.

 

Rules & Regulations

       

            The library rules and regulations are introduced to regularize the use of the library resources and will be reviewed periodically to meet the changing needs.
 
GENERAL   
 

• The library users should possess their ID card while they are inside the library.

• Books will be issued only on production of Library tickets.

• All members of the library are entitled to produce their ID card when the library staff demands for checking.

• Use of Mobile phones is strictly not allowed inside the library.

• Maintain silence inside the library.

• Personal belongings are restricted inside the library.

• Library assistants are there to replace the journals and keep in the proper places.

• College dress code is only permitted inside the library.

• The arrangement of chairs and other furniture in the reading area should not be disturbed.

• The librarian reserves the right to cancel the membership of any member found misbehaving, abusing the library staff or behaving in an indecent manner.

ISSUE OF BOOKS

• The books taken from the library are to be returned within the specified date.

• While borrowing the book, the member must make sure that the book is in good condition and the page numbers are intact.

• The staff / students are entitled to return the books as and when they are called by the librarian.

• If a books is not returned when due, another book will not be issued.

• General / Reference books will be not be issued for borrowing.

• The borrower shall be responsible for any loss caused to the library documents borrowed.

• Library resources are the nations assets and belong to all. All users are having the responsibility to protect the library resources against the wanton and willful-damage, mutilation, theft and other malpractices.

• Current Journals and Previous volumes are not issued for home reading. They are to be referred inside the library only.

• While entering in the digital library, users should enroll in the entry register.
